Footnotes can be inserted into Word via the References tab, by selecting the "Insert Citation" button. This will add a superscript number, which is linked to a footnote at the bottom of the same page. Footnotes should be inserted at the end of a statement, or at the end of the point of information taken from the source, if you are paraphrasing.Information. • Organize the source information in the format shown. • Author names are given as they appear on the publication you used, i.e. use the full first name when provided or first name initials when only initials are provided. • The capitalization practice must be consistent. Start the list on a new page. • The title Bibliography must be left justified or centered on the page. • Removing each reference makes the alphabetical sequence more obvious. • Entries should appear in a single alphabetical sequence, ordered by author last name or by title if no author is given. When citing a source with up to three authors, cite the names of all authors. For four or more authors, indicate first name only, followed by ' et al. ': Number of authors. In the body of your text, you use a superscript as with the footnote number, while in the footnote you use a regular number followed by a period.
